Looks like in the end I didn’t post many updates here.

I have now posted the last of the homework assignments, and it turns out that the last one isn’t actually even a homework assigment of the usual sort. It is the 9th one, and it is a “bonus” homework.

You do not need to hand it in, but if you do, it is due at the beginning of class on Dec 12 (the last day of classes). We will discuss the answers in class at that point. So do it, have it (and any questions that it generated for you) ready, but you are not required to hand it in.

If you choose to hand it in, however, it will be considered as part of the homework score when the averaging is done.

For the purpose of the homework grade, there are 8 (or 9) graded homeworks contributing, but only the top 7 homeworks will be used in computing the average. Each grade is considered to be a percentage correct (so the size of a “point” is not the same across homework assignments, and each homework assignment that is counted counts equally).
