Zoom/Slack

What fun this is. We will start today trying out Zoom and maybe deciding as a group how that should work, given that a fair amount of stuff is online already.

I will enable Blackboard shortly, which is connected to Gradescope, and you should in principle I think be able to get your midterm back via Gradescope. Still working all of this out. I should get the links to the other videos up soon. Given that I haven’t produced new ones (though I still might!), I can just put the links in the schedule for the rest of them.

There’s also a Slack workspace, to which you all have been invited. That’s where most of the announcing and discussion will happen when it is not in Zoom. I think most everyone is there now, you should have gotten an email invitation from me. Slack is good for asynchronous communication, so long as you have internet access sometimes even if it’s not quite up to the task of streaming video live, or if the time class is held no longer works with your life. The Zoom sessions should be viewable later, I’m planning to record them so they’re cloud-accessible somehow.
