Homework 1

The first homework is a pretty laid back one as far as what you hand in, though the reading part is challenging. But it is:

Read Chomsky (2005) (“Three Factors in Language Design”, Linguistic Inquiry 36(1):1-22) and write to me a couple of questions/comments that occur to you as you read it. Essentially: actual questions you have, or alternatively evidence that you read it. :)

Actually, there was a handout for this homework, now that I think about it. It had reading notes for part of the reading. I’ve linked that into the schedule, and also here: Handout for Chomsky 2005
